Using an off grid inverter gives the ability to run household appliances.

Installing an off grid inverter is pretty straightforward as long as you know your system voltage. The most important part is using the proper fuse and wire size.

The video above is the ALFFAA 1500w off grid inverter I reviewed. It is on the inexpensive side and very portable. I've been using it outside to help with lawn care projects.

Battery shutoff switch is a safe way to disconnect your battery bank.

Installing the switch was very straightforward. This video shows is a step by step on how it's done.

When upgrading to a 24v system I needed a reducer to power my 12v fuse block.

This video shows how to setup the wiring for the 24v to 12v reducer. It's all very clearly labeled and works great! Set it and forget it!

2awg wire is perfect for a 24v system using a 3,000w inverter.

Make sure you use the proper crimping tools with connecting the Lugs to the wire. A bad crimp can end in current loss or create a fire hazard! Check out the Tools section for the crimper I use.
